To make bookings run smoothly, we use a defined system for how we handle inquiries. Here’s how we work through our conversation with you:
We receive inquiries every day by email, messaging and by phone. Expect that others will be asking about the same date. I make it a priority to respond to any inquiry within an hour to start a conversation with you.
2. A quick chat
In my reply to your inquiry, I will suggest that we have a quick 10 minute chat to help us see if our style and personalities fit. If we are not yet booked for your date and everything feels great, I will suggest during that call that we set up a full consultation with you and your fiance(e).
There is no obligation to book during a consult. But it is important that all three of us have a chance to see how our personalities fit together. They happen either online or in our studio, take about 60 minutes, and we can usually schedule them within 24-48 hours of your initial inquiry. They are a time for us to talk about how you want your wedding photography to feel, your style, and what we offer. Together we will work up a couple of estimates for you. Expect that other consults for the date will continue during that time, and that we will proceed with the first booking request that we receive.
– Optional Holding Deposit: During the call you may opt to put a fully refundable holding deposit on a date for $1,000. We will hold your date exclusive for 7 days while we work through the next steps. If you do not move forward with booking your date with us within 7 days, we will refund 100% of the Holding Deposit and proceed to book it with the next request. If you do move forward with booking us for your wedding, 100% of the Holding Deposit will be applied to your Booking Deposit below.
4. Booking Request
When you tell me that you would like to hire us to photograph your wedding, I will send you an digital contract to review and sign. We will send the contract within a few business hours, and then your wedding date is held exclusive for 24 hours. If we are not signed in that time the date is re-opened to others that are interested. We do not notify previous consults that we have had a booking request, as we do not want to undermine the couple that has made the decision to move forward with us.
5. Deposit Pending
Once a contract is signed by both of you, we are contract pending receipt of your Booking Deposit. I will hold your date exclusive for one week as you mail your deposit in, or as you set up an installment plan for electronic billing. See deposit options here: www.petergreenoweddings.com/purchases
On receipt of your deposit, I will countersign your contract. At this point I will notify other consults that we are booked for their date. You will receive a receipt along with a copy of the contract. We are now fully booked for your wedding date.
